What’s your favourite colour? White, blu and orange…although I wear black because it slims me a bit.
The time you felt most alive? When I moved to Barcelona from the rainy and gray UK.
An alien space ship lands and offers you a ride. Would you go? Absolutely and even with a no return ticket
What’s your strongest childhood memory? First love….and second and third…
What sport did you play at school? Martial arts, boxing.

Do you speak any languages other than English? Italian, Spanish, French and Little German
What’s the best idea you’ve ever had? Difficut to chose, I generate 10 ideas per day.
Agoraphobic or claustrophobic? Very Claustrophobic.

How many times have you fallen in love? Many times…
What’s your favourite recipe? Carbonara, Risotto with White truffles and Tiramisu.

If you were 25 now, what business would you want to be in? Medical Research and Innovation.
What’s the funniest thing you’ve seen lately? My son Alessandro while imitating me.
What’s the painting you’d most like to have on your wall? Dr Seuss paintings.
What’s the most amazing thing you’ve seen on the sports field? Mike Tyson.
What is your nickname? Who gave it to you? My kids as I am like a teddy bear and I dress in white and black. Recently I Nicknamed myself Il Magnifico… From Lorenzo De Medici.
Describe the defining moment of your career? When took over the innovation job for RB. Great times.
Who are the most important people in the world today? The one that are trying to save our world and our planet.
What would constitute a day from hell for you? When my integrity, honesty and good character is questioned by people that do not know anything about me.
What qualities are most over-rated? Predictability and to be politically correct.
What makes you angry? People that do not keep the commitments, that lie and that take advantage of others.
What is your motto? RUIDO in everything …Relevant, Unique, Impactful, Differentiating and Ownable.
Best US president? JFK, Bill Clinton and I still like Obama. Without the huge resistance to change he faced he could have done great things.
Favourite soccer player? None. I am probably the only Italian that does not care about soccer, with the exception of the world cup where obviously I support Italy.
What do you think are the three most influential businesses in the world today? Positive: Education, Environment Preservation and Music. Negative: Media, Oil, Pharma and army/war industry.
What’s the world’s most precious resource? Common sense. Love.
What’s your least liked word or phrase? It is not possible.
Who was your best teacher? My literature teacher as he was very inspiring, funny, witty and was extremely passionate about everything.
How big is big enough? It depends from what we are talking about. If it is size of business than I would say the size that you can manage while still having fun.
What’s your greatest achievement? My business accomplishments. Yet what I loved the most is when I inspired people.
What’s the nicest thing anyone’s ever done for you? Love me.
What’s the greatest honour you’ve received? Best dad in the universe by my son.
If you were to write a book what would you call it? How to create amazing innovation. A General theory and a practical guide.
What is your greatest fear? Physio-psychological-cognitive development of my kids in today’s weird digital world.
Which living person do you most admire? Many and none.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse? Good but not excellent. Amaze me.
Which talent would you most like to have? I would like to be more relaxed, calm and patient. I am always accelerated.
What qualities do you most admire in people? Integrity, Creativity, Loving heart, smart brain, courage, commitment and passion.
And most dislike? Politics, lies, lazyness.
What was your first job? First job was during high school when I used to work for a moving company during weekends.
What are you most proud of? My business accomplishments. My capability to inspire people, my creative force.
How do you relax? I surf the Internet and read books.

Favourite sports? Car racing.
What advice have you got for young people for coping with the huge demands of business life today. How should they go about building and keeping stamina? Be focused, avoid emotional discussion, keep it simple, do it different, use humour (if people understand it…).
Who have been your heroes? My father, my mother and some of my bosses.
What are your favourite film and series? Star Wars, Rocky, Movies about time travel and space/time paradox like back to the future or Interstellar. Series: Lost, Fringe and Doctor House.
Best actors? Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Roberto Benigni.
What’s the first thing you put in your suitcase? A book.
What is the biggest crisis you have ever faced? Death of my father.
What is the best thing about having children? They are a continuous surprise and they are very affectionate.
Who is the most surprising person you have ever met? Ronald O Perelman.
What is your favourite place in Italy? Rome and Florence. In Australia is Byron bay. In US is the Grand Canyon.
