The Lawsuit and the allegations based controversy

Over ten years ago, in December 2014, while serving as President and CEO of Revlon, I became the target of sensational headlines from click-baiting tabloids. These headlines were based on unproven allegations made in a lawsuit against Revlon (not against me) by a former employee. The matter was swiftly and amicably resolved in March 2015, and the lawsuit was dismissed.

Unfortunately, a viral headline driven by hearsay about an inappropriate comment allegedly made during a meeting spread widely and was picked up by other tabloids. Despite my efforts to have these misleading links removed, some still remain online when people search for my name, continuing to unfairly affect my reputation.

Throughout my life, I have demonstrated an open-minded, inclusive, and multicultural outlook. I do not harbor prejudice against anyone based on race or religion. For example, my ex-wife, the mother of my children, is a Latin American woman from Colombia with indigenous ancestry, and my wonderful children share this heritage. Many of my closest friends and family members come from diverse racial and religious backgrounds, as reflected in the recommendations section of this website and on LinkedIn.

I respectfully urge anyone who is reading or sharing those outdated and sensationalized headlines, based on old and unproven allegations, to refrain from spreading them further. Continuing to share such information not only perpetuates misinformation but also unjustly harms my reputation, which I am committed to protecting to the maximum extent of the law.
